Review Summary: You must/should kill yourself. Bethlehem embodies darkness perfectly, and they prove that darkness does not require manic shredding and lightning speed. Bethlehem does this with solid black metal bursts, and evil sounding ambient passages all over their albums. This album stands out, however, having one of the most psychopathic, evil sounding vocalists of metal. Rainer Landfermann weezes, whispers with malicious excitement, and screams as though he is committing homicide at the same time. The guitar work, whilenothing too complicated, unleashes some very evil riffs at you, caging you into the dark spell being cast by this band. The bass bridges of the ambient passages are also hypnotically captivating. These three aspects, but together, makes for one very evil compound indeed. Stream Die Anarchische Befreiung Der Augenzeugenreligion, and you will realize this band is nothing to dismiss.

First review. I made it short, don't know how effective it was. Any criticism?
| | | I won't neg, but this is far too short. There isn't really enough here to critique.
Flesh it out, and try to talk about themes and motifs of the album - what characterises it, what makes it special, what it sounds like... try to back up opinions with examples from the album.
Hope this helps.
| | | Cruise around the site a bit and see what other reviews look like. Give us some background on the band, since it appears that not many are familiar with them. Talk specifically about what the atmosphere does and how it happens. Discuss songs, textures, tones, instrumentation, and the overall feel of the album. However, what you have written has intrigued me. You just need more detail.

I'm taking offense.
| | | cool vocalist 5/5 :] :]
| | | i dunno i think it the best review i've read here in a long time
| | | but it's shorter then Miley Cyrus's dick....
| | | I'll add onto the description on the band, and describe keyboards and drums, but thats it. This was not meant to be a super long review. I just wanted to put out there that this band is something different.
| | | I love the vocals, atmosphere is intense too, but unfortunately the album gets boring pretty fast.
| | | I get where everyone is coming from but am sticking by my perception of it.

track 3 killed everyone in my family
| | | Yep. Best example of the "malicious whisper.

and regarding the vocals, its DBM, what are you expecting, Devin Gaytown-send?
| | | Isn't this what the Soundoff feature is for? Too short to be a review but it's a perfectly fine short description.
| | | Well, a lot of DBM vocals are shit, check Nocturnal Depression. On topic, this albumwill probably grow to a 4 once I listen to it more. For those who love this check out Silencer, vocals are insane too.
| | | i have to admit i was very excited at first glance when seeing how short this review. A lot of reviewers go on tangents and come off being very redundant, which in turns makes for a tedious read
I love the short approach and I felt you conveyed yourself well and I will be checking this out based on your review. Good job! A little elaboration wouldn't hurt, but id rather you didnt over do it and keep it as is. worked for me
pos
looking forward to your future reviews
