Well, there's way worse Sabbath worship out there, I can tell you that much. And that's not to say that there isn't some great stuff here, because "Dustflow" and "Lidocain God" are two excellent tracks, but the majority of this stuff is inoffensive and pretty middling. A decade-plus after their seminal debut, Dactylis Glomerata invokes a callback to the album through the artwork and pretty much nothing else. The only track that is doom the whole way through is "I Still See The Black", as most of the material here is mid-paced and pretty static. There isn't really a whole lot to say about this one; there are enjoyable moments and the bass is prominent in a few tracks, but the band made music far, far better than this is their time and that's the stuff you should be listening to if you want to get into them. Still, this record isn't a bad one and if you're already familiar with the band this is surely a worthwhile listen for the stellar aforementioned tracks alone.
