4.5 superb | robotmagician | October 30th 17 | A significant departure from the two group's previous collaboration. it gets very weird, very often, with a stronger
focus on repetitive electronic beats rather than filling the air with pure noise. the two bands come together on
here and sound nothing like their respective projects, aside from the vocals. on this collaboration, they sound like
a collective unit, which was one of the biggest criticisms of the previous LP. there is some really fun and
adventurous experimentation on here, and while it doesn't always hit the mark (the reggaeton and jungle inspired
Master's Story for example) it's an excellent album and I am looking forward to them collaborating again. favorite

3.4 great | Erwann S. STAFF | April 28th 23 | 2016's One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache wasn't coherent enough for me, and Ascending a Mountain of Heavy Light thankfully corrects that: it's still a clusterfuck of influences, but they are smashed together into, erm, songs??? Pummeling, dissonant, abrasive songs, sure, but still songs with structure and all that shizzle.

4.0 excellent | PostMesmeric | February 16th 18 | By laying off the oppressive noise and miasmic distortion, both The Body and Full of Hell make a more approachable record than their previous collaboration. It still has that trademark atmosphere, but the electronic focus makes it far less impenetrable than the bands' previous works. It bursts with volatility, but it also allures.

3.5 great | meenwolf131 | November 30th 17 | deconstructive texture of what you heared, combination of noisy power electronic, massive heavy slugde metal and atmopheric happening of madness

4.0 excellent | Comatorium. | October 30th 17 | This is one nasty ass piece of music. It bears little resemblance to either of the bands? output, instead opting for a brand of weirdness that extends to the eccentric and straight up odd instead of the macabre and bleak atmospheres that are these bands? bread and butter. A big departure from their last collaboration, the best part about this album is that instead of seeming like two distinct bands at odds with each other, they come together for one of the weirdest highlights of late 2017.
