Review Summary: All and all Bool present us a well polished Alternative album, that avid music appreciators shouldn't really miss giving a listen to!
So here we have a new album release by the German quartet that answers to the name Bool!
Fly With Me is a release that has so many influences fused, in a clever way so integrity and personal style is kept throughout the recording.
I've listened to the album a lot before I've written anything and I can safely say that guitar work is simply amazing! Excellent riffwork and fills here and there that often flirt with a vast variety of styles without jabbering around or digressing from it's main focus!
The vocals draw reminded me of Antimatter in their most gothic moments, and other times the James Hetfield epicness as heard from people he has influenced like Nickelback, or Pantera. Some Grunge hints are there too, like Pearl Jam Alice in Chains or you can even tell the influence the legendary Nirvana in songs like 'The Same Mistake'. Also in some moments I couldn't help drawing a connection in my mind with 'The Twilight Sad' due to the obvious Germanic nature of Scottish.
The highlights of the record to my opinion are 'Soul Train', 'Kick Arse' – And don't let the title fool you here, it's not some teenage rant, but a very solid rock track, 'Love is the Answer' that shows the softer side of Bool and 'Desire'.
All and all Bool present us a well polished Alternative album, that avid music appreciators shouldn't really miss giving a listen to!
