Black Desert Highway is the second EP by the Finnish stoner act and they seem to be heading the right way. Their brand of stoner is characterized by fuzzy guitars, desert aesthetics and a melodic approach that is influenced by the heavy rock of the '70s. When they have their groove going such as on "Pipe Dream" their music is very enjoyable but their slower sections or songs ("The Last Stand") need some work. Maybe the addition of a hammond organ would help improve the aforementioned sections. Overall, this band has potential.
