2.0 poor | Jared Floryan | February 15th 18 | Sure, Mis-An-Thrope is frighteningly passable nu-metalcore when it comes down to the vocal stylings and a few instrumental passages, but Ded's first studio affair altogether flat-out screams wasted promise. The many compositions by themselves are written in a foreseeable, bland fashion whilst the lyricism is substandard and banal even for the subgenre; "Dead to Me" and "FMFY" alone really hammer home that good ol' angst. You know what? This is yet another band that enjoys flogging a ded horse. Badum-CHING!! ...I'll see myself out.

1.0 awful | terriblekonrad | July 15th 17 | Guys its fucking amazing how they wrote those lyrics. Unbelievable. My 5 year old nephew cant do
it better.

3.0 good | TheGreatQ | July 7th 18 | This could have been a much better album but by the fourth song I was tired of their choruses. I get it, you can do a radio rock chorus. Every single song doesn?t need one.

3.0 good | PuncakeTheThird | April 28th 18 | Suprisingly passable nu metal. If you can get past the predictable nature of the album and sub par lyrics it's a decently entertaining listen.

4.0 excellent | Rammbrecher | October 8th 21 | The greatest strength of this project is just how fucking unrelenting it is. From "Architects" until "Beautiful", there really isn't a moment to breath. DED throw metalcore, nu-metal, and hardcore at you, hammering you over and over with massive riffs, ferocious screams, and acidic lyrics. This isn't a band that's interested in looking at the bright side or bringing a positive shine to the genre; they are angry, hateful, and bitter and goddamn it, they want you to know it.

5.0 classic | Hulk42959 | February 19th 18 | Some really great nu-metal and very well done album rope is one of the best song of 2017

3.0 good | snepsts | November 5th 17 | Definitely overdone style and sound, but honestly it's pulled off really well and definitely not boring to listen to. I dig it.

3.0 good | AmbushReality | August 1st 17 | This is the first nu-metalcore record I can recall enjoying to an extent in recent memory. That said, still not anything spectacular. Its better than obvious comparison Cane Hill, but that's not saying much. There are some really solid, accessible hooks to be found here, and that, coupled with some opening slots on some huge upcoming tours (Korn) should allow this band to really take-off. Nu-metal isn't quite dead yet, and while it really should be, DED is actually making a case for relevance and future success among a pack of very forgettable contemporaries.

0.0 | tresm87 | July 27th 17 | extremely regurgitated and generic at times but a solid nu metal revival album with some energy. r3.3/5
cane hill does it better but this is heavier
Edit: so a few more listens and I'm really digging the insanity and grittiness of their whole sound though it's still
been done by many different bands before. They blended some of the best elements of NU metal acts from the
past into a really punchy and bombastic heavy album. I'm gonna bump my rating up to a 3.8/5.
