This is a pretty weird split. On the grind spectrum, these two bands are almost exactly opposite each other. F.U.B.A.R.'s side here is simply some decent, yet middling grind-tinged hardcore (though "Soulless" is a burner) that sounds timid next to their counterparts on this split. Last Days Of Humanity's side is more "f*cked up beyond all recognition" than their counterparts' side, consisting of unreleased material from 2006, the same year the band released their masterpiece, Putrefaction In Progress. As such, the songs consist of mostly unintelligible riffing and absolutely blistering drumming with an awesome snare tone. The vocals were remastered in 2014 for these tracks, and they're only slightly less incredible and disgusting than they were eleven years ago. It's a suffocating and oppressive five minutes, but it's a good reminder of just how great the band was a decade ago. It's a decent split, but mostly because of LDOH.
