After over 9 albums honing her skills at crafting dense, layered IDM, Taxxon's first 2017 release is a pivot towards twee, cutesy synth-pop, and her first release to feature singing on a majority of the tracks. Taxxon is, to put it bluntly, a fairly weak vocalist, but the results here are still charming enough, particularly on jaunty earworms like "Small Virtues".
