A perfect mix of shoegaze, post-punk (a la Chameleons), doom, and death metal. All of these elements blend together seamlessly into each song, instead of having a genre soup of different styles each taking their turn. Unlike anything that happened at the time and still one of a kind.

How is this not more widely recognized as a cult classic? It's fuzzy, jangly, spacey, heavy, and doomy all in one. Probably the purest blend of metal, post-punk, and shoegaze ever put to tape.
