Review Summary: A solid and very enjoyable release of a band I had never heard of

I came across this band through a website and the only thing that caught my eye was the cover. I liked it and thought I need to check it out.
I listened to it and first just kinda liked it.
It sounded heavy, due to the thick guitars, flawless production and the vocalists raunchy voice, the latter really caught my attention.
It's metal but with a "rock"y sound to it if that makes any sense. It took me several listens to see the depth and quality of this release.
Now I am seriously enjoying this and it creates an atmosphere at times, that pulls you in, it makes you move and sometimes just headbang.

"Cabaret" the opener starts right off or off, just right. "Oh Lord, what a ***ed up nation, we don't even cry" is what you'll be singing along.
The chorus of some songs when he sings less raunchy have quite a Rammstein tendency to them.

"Walking Cadavers" is another great song to sing along and you'll appreciate the chorus, he just puts a lot of drama and emotions into it and it gets you.
Here is where the guitarist also unleashes a pretty nice, melodic solo, before the songs end with "I'm walking with the devil"

"Monkey 27" starts off with an older fair-like organ and is the first that creates this atmosphere that I'm talking about. I like the way the keyboards are used in this
album overall.

"Darwinian" is a song that sounds just great, reminds me in the middle a little bit of Rammstein when he starts singing like Till. It's his voice, but also the theatrical approach.

"Ratts and Rattlesnakes" is a strong song, great guitarwork, great lyrics and rhymes. "Hysteriaaa....Mediaaa...."

"The one eyed king" a slower song with a deeper meaning. "Do you wake up in the morning hoping to not wake at all?" A clean guitar and piano overlays this song,
that's mainly drums, vocals and keyboards.

"Feet of Clay" is the next "song" but basically just a 30 second filler.

"Absolution" is a heavy song, but has a great atmosphere with the piano in the background and when it kicks in after the solo, just gives me goosebumps.
Again, the way he sings this from raunchy to melodic and the use of keyboards and heavy guitars are great!

"Pagan Words" is the ballad on this Album, mainly acoustic guitar and clean vocals. Makes you drift away in the right moment.

"Villain" was my favorite song on the first few listens, probably the easiest accessible. Then I realized that this is a solid release from start to finish. The chorus
gets you.."Villain....I'm a villain, always a villain...." Very catchy.

"Suicide Note" starts off with someone calling the suicide line, but then get's put on hold. "Call is being routed" Another slower song of the album, but it doesn't make it a weak song
at all.

"Lascivious" this is where it gets to the end of the album but it doesn't let go of you just yet. The lyrics and vocals are great. A mix between mellow and heavy that works well.

"Espitituais" is an almost church like sounding song, Deliberately due to it's lyrics, but it ends the Album well.

Overall I am very impressed with this release, especially since I have never heard of these guys before and I enjoy listening to it a lot.
Check out : Villain and Absolution to get into it, I do recommend listening to it from start to finish, it deserves it.

PS:Excuse this review, it's not what I do or do well, I just want to give these guys some support and make other people aware of this really enjoyable listen.
