4.0 excellent | Baketaman | November 18th 16 | I wasn't expecting much when I found this record on spotify. But since the first notes of "Ruptured", I was kind of hypnotised with the use of atmospheres and textures. As the album advances, you can sense the tone of the album getting somewhat different in every song, and every alternative rock fan can find at least one song to like here: The semi ballad strokes of "Color and Shape", the epicness of "Partial Owners" and the fierce fury of "Withdrawn" (my personal favorite). From song to song, there are certain "musical sound effects" that keep the album going, and refresh the ear a little bit, considering the fact that this is a challenging album to the listener. Production wise, is a very good effort considering that this is the first LP from this chilean band. I know many bands that doesn't sound as good midway their careers.
