3.5 great | Xyverneas | September 5th 23 | Think of Sleeping With Sirens's take on post-hardcore but add exotic scale and harmony choices especially and that indescriptible J-rock energy and you get this album. All previous releases of the band were arguably building towards this moment. Almost every song here is a high-adrenaline, double-kick propelled party and the band seems to have finally understood where their strengths lie after a handful of more meandering albums and EP's. Production-wise, this album is very modern and clean, but especially the vocal production is more organic than many Western counterparts in rock & metal. In terms of sonwriting, one could accuse the band of being repetitive, but one can't argue with the fact that they are very good at the style of music they write, and therefore are able to pull off several similar but still distinct songs on the album.
