This is really the sound of Sam Roberts getting a little too comfortable with the pop sound he's drenched his recent offerings in. It helps that it's nice and short (barring the snoozefest opener). The singles are strong and fit what he's trying to go for. But the album does get lost in its own conservativeness, especially towards the end. Maybe not his weakest effort, but close. Recommended Songs: FIEND, If You Want It, Black Spark
