Release Date: 2000 | Tracklist

So here we go. After releasing Enema of the State, Blink 182 was on top of the world. It was a enormous hit for them and spawned some of their biggest hits to date. They would later go on tour with Enema and release this album, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back).

Recorded over two days at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium & Universal Ampitheater, this is Blink at their best. This album was basically a Greatest Hits album at the time it was recorded, only the songs are live. Blink does throw in some "new" tracks into the mix as well. They're actually more like joke songs, such as the crowd favorite, Family Reunion, a song filled with many naughty words or Blow Job, which is about, err... you get the idea.

Along with the music you also get to listen to the band talk to the crowd. The jokes are funny and any self respecting Blink fan should get a kick out of their immature humor. There is one joke that does get a bit old, when Tom tries to act like Satan and talk to the crowd. It's funny at first but quickly gets old as the album progresses. However, after the music is done don't stop listening as there is about seven minutes of banter from the band at the end of the album making a total of 49 tracks.

Blink sounds much better live than they do in the studio and you can tell that from listening to this. In fact some of the more stand-out tracks are those from Dude Ranch and Chesire Cat. It's great to hear Blink play Carousel live, if you're one of those people like me who thought the sound quality on Chesire Cat was bland.

Also included in this album is a new studio track called "Man Overboard". It is clearly a song about saying good bye to someone. Most people think that it's about Scott, Blinks former drummer. The song is really good and has some really nice bass and equally good vocals by both Tom and Mark.

It's a shame this album was available for only a limited time. I hear it's goes for alot of money on Ebay. If you are a Blink 182 fan and you can get your hands on a copy of this, do it, its worth the money. I guarantee you won't regret it.

PROS
Just about everything you'd want to hear from Blink
New tracks
Blink is much better live

CONS
Some of the jokes are bland
Album is very expensive now
May be too immature for some people

Actually they were horrible live.

Edit: Way to go to change the review to one huge block.

Paragraphs are your friend, but apparently you just rejected them by editing your review.

2nd Edit: Now you try to make me look like a dumbass by swithing back to the way it was, nice job. This Message Edited On 11.21.05

A friend gave it to me as a birthday present years ago... I think I turned 19 that year, so it is at least five years ago. Back then I quite liked this, but now it's just a dust collector in my CD racks.

Anyways, nice review, though I do not really agree with the rating (solely because I'm not into Blink anymore). :thumb:

The review pales in comparison to your AI one, but good job either way.

I'd like a bit more detail though

I honestly still think that AI review he did doesn't count as a review, but lets not get into that.

I answered your question (MusicOfficial) in 1039's AI review because seriously, we shouldn't talk about it in this thread.

I got this album off a friend a few years back for £3 (BARGIN!) and listened to it religiously for a couple of months. Its a good album, but i think you gave it a little too much credit.
Not a bad review though (Y)

This is actually my second favorite Blink album.

No, they're not my favorite band, I just have an immature sense of humor.

I'm not sure why people think they've stopped releasing it, because I still see it at Best Buy every once in a while.

A quick check of Ebay shows that they're going for around 25 bucks.

matt, i mean 1039. Decent review. The album was recorded November 5, 1999 at The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium & the Universal Amphitheater in San Francisco, California. And did you just learn to use the word bland because 1. you use it alot, well twice, but that word sucks. j/k. Also I was gonna say that you were wrong that this album was expensive due to the fact that on ebay a year ago it was only like $30, but i just checked and its like $70. I have a copy of this album, unlike 1039, his is just burnt, tsk , tsk. good review nonetheless

i dont know how to quote it all "fancy" but what little drummer said "There greatist hits just came out a week ago and it's all there best songs it great". and even though this isnt really the place to argue over there greatest hits, but it just plain sucks. ITs mainly composed of songs from their self titled album, which sucks

It doesnt have to many songs from their greatest albums like budda and chesire cat, or the best ones from dude ranch, like untitled. are you one of those people who like blink cause of there new album like those douches who discovered green day through american idiot. (not that american idiot isnt good, just if youve never heard of there other stuff or dont care for it then you need to get your head out of your ass.
