1.5 very poor | manosg EMERITUS | October 8th 16 | One of the most enjoyable albums I've had the pleasure of listening recently! Despite (or simply because of) the array of legends that participate on here, such as Steve Lukather, Michael Schenker, and Steve Morse, the album ends up as a mishmash and a wank fest. The drums are loud, the guitars are loud and pretentious, while Joe Lynn Turner is filling every imaginable space the music has to breathe, with his voice. The ahs and oos are everywhere and Joe does his best imitation of Brian Johnson and Bruce Dickinson as the album consists of covers from bands like Queen, The Doors and Iron Maiden! The outcome is downright hilarious on tracks like "Two Minutes to Midnight", "Hellraiser" and "Back in Black", which actually adds a fun value to the album. Every participant is playing his instrument non-stop, which makes me wonder if the producer (if there is one) had any saying in the artistic process of the album. Highly recommended!
