This band's debut was something of a high school guilty pleasure of mine, but in hindsight, that album wasn't good. While the band has thankfully improved little by little with each release since, for the most part they're still stuck playing pretty generic radio-friendly alt-metal mixed with melodic metalcore along with some of the most tepid and ham-fisted lyrics you'll hear all year. That said, it's mostly pretty inoffensive and actually manages to have some catchy and enjoyable melodies and choruses, so it ends up leveling out to just barely above-average in the end.
(Note: would've given this a 2.7 if I could've. I decided to be generous and round up, not down.)
