If you're looking for fifteen minutes of melodically-leaning war metal, then Draped Urn's debut EP is the thing for you. It's certainly not very original, but the seething emotions behind every instrument and the vocals, complete with an excellently dirty production job, really give it some nice footing. There are plenty of discernible melodies to be found here as well, as the opener and the obviously-tongue-in-cheek "Spanking Ritual" will gladly show you. Who Draped Urn exactly is (the one band member is known simply as F.) is a mystery, but hopefully he provides some more of this stuff in the future, with a sound more fleshed out.
