Some pretty safe, yet wholly solid post-punk from a female-fronted Chicago trio. The best parts of this LP come from the duo of Christine and David Wolf. Whether relatives or marriage partners, I don't know, but their vocal and guitar interplay give the music some nice dynamics that make the music a notch better than your average gritty post-punk band. The drumming by Jeff Rice is also very well done, but the use of distractingly similar drum fills in a few of the songs takes a bit of the creativity away. It's a bit hard to choose a standout track here, as they're all decent enough with catchy choruses and good performances all around. As such, it's also hard to stop the songs from bleeding over into one another and becoming a samey experience. That all said, though, Accumulated Error is a solid and enjoyable post-punk record, so if you're into that, you could do much worse than this.
