Review Summary: All in all this is well worth your time checking out. I honestly don't have much negative to say... and i thrive on negativity! The way samples and sound effects are incorporated is uncanny. Its time you pressed play.

I didn't think it could be done but boy was i surprised when it happened. My first thought upon hearing up and coming artist Lanier Burton made an EDM tape i immediately assumed it'd be a copy and paste attempt to cash in on current trends. He only had his ep The Sunday Sessions an R&B release to his name , and while thoroughly enjoyable it had some flaws. This time around on T.I.F.E (This Isn't For Everyone) he breaks through with a compelling EDM project. Lets break it down track by track.

1.VS
We begin our journey with a siren song. A seductress vocals fill the empty space between the abstract soundscape that warps and scratches around as she lures us deep into the shadows. I'm all in got my drink ready.

2. Be Good [Big Intro]
This is where the party gets started. After being warned to "be good" we're thrown full force into the groove of colliding synths that sound like that part in ALIENS where the whole facility is about to self destruct. And Ripley's being chased by that Queen Xenomorph, so indeed it BANGS!

3. Dial Up
An ever changing groove with drums vocal samples synths etc. and even a dial tone added to signal aliens or some ***. With that said you can 2 step to this all the way through, very smooth.

4. 1st Blood
This right here?! BANGS. And the beat switch?! RIDICULOUS. I can see why its named after that 1st Rambo movie cause bodies will get dropped. I spilled my drink with this one.

5. Catchin' Fire [Interlude]
No lie i thought my fire alarm was going off for real when this started...it eventually did as i played the whole track. This is that pulsating Daft Punk/ Tron influenced ish. It builds with intensity and spreads..

6. Got My Number
Perhaps the most feel good vibe track on the project hands down. Just an instant vibe of joy and im not a very happy person. I critic music for a living. We get another beat switch that is absolutely the opposite of its brighter half with an all out sinister groove. IT GOES IN believe you me.

7. Hell Hounds
If your a dog person your gonna love this. Cerberus barks from beneath the Earths surface from hell as we're taken aback by dark synths that eclipse the sun. This is what i assume will be played as a precursor to the apocalypse. What a great time that'll be

8. Full Moon
Continues where Hell Hounds left off bringing the beast out of men women... *** whoever s in close proximity to the speakers.
Indeed transformations will occur as this track is a blend of hip hop drums and icy synths that interlock into a monster beat.

9. Silhouette Stalker
There's an eerie calm to this one. Like the quiet before the storm and just when you think its safe to leave we're instructed to "Get on the dance floor"

10. NightCrawler
I was to busy dancing to this track to actually review it..but i guess thats the point of it all right? Get off your ass and just let this one take you over. Its a bouncy track that creeps under your skin.

11. Blue Pill
A lot of these tracks reference films and the theme continues here. Blue pill is at first glance your typical club banger but it transitions into what sounds like a seriously disturbing trip on acid...^_^ !!

12. Taking Effect [Interlude]
That pill kicks in with a burst of energy on this track! This right here is the reason why people dance with glow sticks I spilled my 2nd drink.

13. Android 18
A DBZ reference? Well about damn time! Android 18 was a cold blooded female killer android who ***ed *** up when she was introduced and this track follows in that vein. 3 beats in one track each showcasing why you dont want it with 18. She aint playing out here.

14. Femme Fatale
The killer strikes again with percussion to bash your skull. The vibe here is extremely bleak and yet as with other tracks on the project catchy and vibrant as it reveals its softer side as the beat changes up.

15. Down The Aisle
EPIC , this is how you close a album! A MUST you hear this for yourself

All in all this is well worth your time checking out. I honestly don't have much negative to say... and i thrive on negativity!
