What happened? AAFCC started out extremely solid, pumping out very interesting, fuzzy feeling atmospheric black metal, and then they put this out. This is just a boring reverb fest with no original concepts being brought to the table. This band has officially run their formula dry.

I usually like post/blackgaze metal but there is nothing metal about this. This sounds like The Cure or MBV with black metal vocals thrown in for kicks. I would never consider myself a black metal elitist but this EP makes me understand why elitists hate this type of black metal. Black Monolith I can stand; Deafheaven I can understand, AAFCC, no longer listenable.
