Much like any early Future mixtape, it's a bunch of solid trap that sees Future honing his skills at autotune-drenched hooks and smooth flows over some bass-heavy trap production. And as with any early Future mixtape, there are moments of pure greatness like on the Mike WiLL Made-It produced "Code We Honor", with its infectious beat and even more infectious hook. And also moments of apathy or, in the case of the admittedly obnoxious "Lil Mexico Lingo", annoyance. The one thing that can be said for the latter song is that there is a clear want to try something a bit different, and that would become a virtue later on in his career. It's a bit of a desultory release, but Kno Mercy is still some enjoyable trap from one of the most prominent faces in the genre.
