Review Summary: The Sunday Sessions ep is a R&B, pop, hip-hop music hybrid mixed and mastered with a bedroom studio aesthetic that adds to its diamond in the rough charm.

The internet is home to many a starving recording artists waiting and wishing to be discovered. These very same people may or may not have the studio equipment to fully immerse listeners in hi-quality recordings, but that doesn't stop them from trying. I came across such an artist whose lo-fi approach echoes the efforts of recording artists before him. His name happens to be Lanier and his ep featuring Ms.Anderson shows their combined potential nonetheless. The Sunday Sessions ep is a R&B, pop, hip-hop music hybrid mixed and mastered with a bedroom studio aesthetic that adds to its diamond in the rough charm.

The ep begins with Hi a track where Ms.Anderson neglects to answer the many calls that come her wayshooting down bill collectors and just about anyone else we wants to connect with her. Which leads directly into the second track Delivery where she states and i quote
"I'll Call you when i neeeeed something" and that you better make it quick with whatever she needs. Delivery is arguably the standout track on this project with its glimmering production and bouncy cadence. But there are other gems as well be it on the houston inspired Cloudy [skit] where we are taken away to
a soundscape of screwed up vocals and what appears to be a woman laughing as Lanier sings of the many ways we lust for money. Outside, In where Ms.Anderson voices her distrust of others love towards her and how from the outside she seems fine, but inside shes alone.

The production on the ep overall has a calming , chill, smooth vibe throughout.
The most prominent example would be the 2nd half of the track 2001.
Its instrumentation radiates and shines. The song writing is catchy and highly quotable throughout "you need to think colleges...where the **** are all your scholarships"
"In the time it takes to know ya...I hesitate from paranoia" to name a few.

The only drawback would of course be the means in which this was all recorded but in this day and age even thats not stopping people from getting noticed.
I'd recommend you give this a listen and be sure to look out for their future projects.
