Mr. Bucket, I know that you're very skilled at what you do and you could probably fart out a 5/5 album in your sleep, but for the love of all things holy stop making these.

Wax is the ninth Pike by Buckethead, in his Days Til Halloween Series. It's possibly the best horror soundtrack in the series so far, but it is also one of the most boring. Wax is essentially a more textured version of Visitor From the Mirror. The soundscapes are spacious, and drenched in reverb. It's a very focused entry to the Halloween series, compared to most of the other albums released by Brian Carroll in the same month. While it's hard to qualify this album's effectiveness amongst such a large catalogue, Wax maintains a consistently eerie atmosphere throughout it's runtime. It's one of Buckethead's best dark ambient outings, despite being very dull and repetitive.
