This "kinda best-of 8 hours even though these are alternate versions" displays Richter's compositional skills and tendency for meditative post-minimalism piano pieces, without really attaining some of his past work's grandeur.

"From Sleep" can't touch Richter's older works, but on its own is still a competent and coherent showcasing of his compositional skills, despite only being more-or-less a "greatest hits" of his longer 8-hour classical piece.
