"Son" is a phenomenal song and possibly one of the best that Ryan has ever released. However,
while the other songs on this EP are good, they don't quite measure up to the brilliance of
"Son." I would say this is largely in part because Ryan resorts to lyrics that are unfortunately
somewhat contrived at times ("Life" and "Daughter" are both guilty of this). Overall, this is a
very good EP, but I was hoping it would be groundbreaking like some of Ryan's other EPs, so it
falls a bit short in my eyes.
