Dope little EP that packs a lot despite being only 6 minutes long. While I am not a fan of the higher pitched voice in the low-ended, fat first track, after that it feels very fitting. 2 is more on the hardcore punk side of things, and 3 is deliciously chaotic. 4 is the real weak link here, starting on an awkward section with pretty much just that high pitched voice shrieking in the void over pretty much nothing, which then resolves into an okay riff but that feels really subpar compared to the rest. Drops this a point down a tier to 3.7

Quick but enjoyably punishing EP from Ocean City's grind/powerviolence golden children Full Of Hell. Bursts of energy, noisy riffs, constant blast-beats, and a Melvins cover. Wreaks more havoc in seven minutes than the Browns have all season, the bastards. Amber Mote In The Black Vault is good PV. Listen to it.

This is a very interesting progression after the Merzbow collaboration. The crushing grind elements of that aforementioned release are still in full effect, but the more hardcore/punk sensibilities of the group seem to take a backseat to more overt death metal influences this time around. The drums are clear, and Dave Bland's playing is both technical and pummeling. The guitar tone can sound outright monolithic at times and the riffs maintain heaviness and variety. The vocals are consistently monstrous. If there is a qualm, I believe the bass is a bit too distorted here, as it struggles to be heard in the mix. The sounds here are certainly extreme and largely amazing. I'll definitely be coming back to this to hold me over until a new LP from the group.
