early fort worth TX hip hop that wasnt g-funk or gangsta or party music in any fashion. conscious without being zany and humorous too, its dark and gritty but smooth and i like the kinda quasi-R&B shit with the fem vocs. yeah its got the same "warning 2 the streets" message as a lot of stuff but it manages to never once glorify what it claims to criticize which is interesting
