Absolutely astonishing that this incredible singer and musician somehow totally faded into obscurity in a sea of Otis Reddings and Marvin Gayes in the 60s after being a hitmaker who produced iconic songs covered millions of times by everyone and their mother (The title track "Fever" specifically obviously.But he has so much more than that, "Now You Know", recently used in the great horror flick from Shudder Oddity, is another gem in a seemingly endless trove of old soul and R&B that this album and man provides. Give Little Willie John his god damn flowers, this is perfection.
