Review Summary: "Perdition" is a crushing modern Italian death metal debut that will stampede and ferociously impale you in the eardrums with full force...

Listeners and fans of the modern technical/brutal death metal outfit can already draw conclusions of the following keywords: Italian, modern and death metal, that Necrosy is all about sheer inhumane and unmatched speed, accuracy and brutality.

Getting back on conclusions... by no means am I putting all the above-mentioned elements of the album in a negative spotlight. The said statement, is free for interpretation so the listener can decide whether they like modern Italian death metal or just disregard as another bland Hour of Penance-like death metal rip-off.
Let me put it out that Italian bands like: Hideous Divinity, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Eyeconoclast have some shared element which make the music more or less synonymous, which by a first listen, you can tell the band has a Italian style, yet the bands and their albums retain their own unique identity. Same as it is for Norwegian black metal or the Teutonic thrash metal.

I personally enjoyed the whole album from start to finish, and I thought it may contend as one of 2015's better death metal releases.

Like other Italian death metal releases, expect extremely fast and accurate blast beats, gravity blasts and machinegun-like kick drumming, incorporated by equally lightning fast tremolo picking from both the rhythm and lead guitar that it sounds like one refined guitar tone and energetic, remorseless, dry throat vocal onslaughts.

This release is an instrumental extravaganza which namely modern death metal drummers and guitar players will enjoy and appreciate for all it's speed and technical aspects, including but not limited to: sudden time and rhythm changes so fast and played with such ease that you might think Necrosy have been around the block for more than ten years.
All instrument players are highly impressive, which only a handful bands can outmatch by it's relentless speed and technicality.

What separates this album from the rest of other modern Italian death metal bands is the interesting playing of the guitars that likes to incorporate minor, major and harmonic arpeggios and scales played by tremolo picking, which sets off an incredible eerie and sinister tone making it more atmospheric than their Italian counterparts. Necrosy also make use of symphonic elements such as piano and orchestral sampling that nicely blends and sometimes contrasts the metal playing; painting a bit of a chaotic, neo-classic and a romantic aural experience.
What also separate "Perdition" from the other death metal releases not even Italian per se, is that it makes subtlety use of different elements of other metal sub-genres such as Post, doom, Thrash and even a hint of black metal.

My personal favorite track of the album is "Flesh Script", which I highly recommend checking out before listening to the whole album to hear more or less what Necrosy is all about.
A word of advice: DO NOT listen to "Flesh Script" if you had vast amounts of caffeine in your system, while working or driving because adrenal surges will pump through your body and you will feel like going on a Viking berserk-rage, setting off an atomic bomb.
