You know that baseless, insipid, concocted at art school by fools who are there to grow beards, amalgamation of styles that offers nothing new, bland rubbish churned out every week by 'bands' who are in the charts? You know that sort? Well I'll be buggered but heres one of them who actually offer something new, heartfelt melodious and soul stirring. It's an album of 2015 I tell ya.

For all the faults 2010s indie carried,
Maccabees were refreshingly not among them,
what with their progressive song-writing,
energetic chemistry, infectious melodies.

Sad that this doesn't have a review. Excellent album by a pretty solid band, which even if it wasn't ground breaking was doing beautiful distinct songs.
