As I was totally unaware of Bardo Pond, the first thing that made me listen to their new "EP" (clocking at almost 30 minutes) was the cover that hinted at Candlemass' Tales of Creation... What's emphatically evident in Is There A Heaven?, is the band's ability in gradually building noteworthy dynamics and atmospheres, while providing a custom interpretation of drone, noise and the blues.
