Review Summary: 11/10 ~ IGN. Oh yes, you know what's coming.

The only viable reason I could ever think to give such an album a rating as 5 is simply because this website's classification of each rating. This album is not awful, nor is it very poor. It is by no means average and it isn't an album one could call good. Or great for that mater. It is by NO means excellent OR superb. It is a classic. Does that mean it is, on a technical scale a great? No. Does that mean it is, on a composition-al scale, a great. Nuh-uh. It is, however, probably one of the most enjoyable... compilations of audio frequencies to ever grace these ears.

This is an album/EP for people who can take a joke, have an appreciation for Super Smash Bros and have at least heard of Space Jam. If you do not enjoy laughing and are the product of years of precise, German engineering, this album is not for you. If all music outside of Onset Of Putrefaction and None So Vile isn't kvlt enough for your manflesh, now would be a good time to waddle back to the factory. If you love Super Smash Bros, love Space Jam (I myself am not a Space Jam fan but the album idea is brilliant in my twisted mind) and don't find yourself being constantly ostracized for vocalizing your opinions on matters that are particularly funny, then I can't recommend The Slam Bros. Melee EP enough. It is a short 19 minutes of Super Smash Bros themes covered in Space Jam goodness.

For the musical nerds, this album is produced well enough for what it is. If you appreciate Nintendo's production jobs for the majority of their songs, you are in no way going to be disappointed. The Space Jam samples are pretty much perfectly placed. DJ Slammeister actually did a terrific job in pacing certain lyrics over certain songs and the end result causes the songs to meld into each other seamlessly, regardless of tempo changes and pitch shifts.

Criticize my poor writing skills and the parody-essence of this review but a review is an opinion on a matter. The matter in case is The Super Slam Bros. Melee EP, a thing (it makes me laugh so hard listening to it that I can hardly think of it as an EP or an album or really anything) that pushes aside socially acceptable borders in turn for a fun time. Many might think the novelty may wear off soon but if you are a fan of Super Smash Bros, this novelty will only wear off when you decide that Super Smash Bros is not for you. Which hopefully is a decision made by the finality of death.

Or something like that.
