Review Summary: This cd got me hooked to Fairytale Abuse,and they are now one of my favorite death metal/black metal bands.
I discovered this band a couple months ago and from what I've heard so far I'm convinced that this band should be better known than it is now. This cd was given away for free on their official website. After hearing this cd I was hooked on Fairytale Abuse and now they are one of my favorite death metal bands.
1.Vivid the blood ill-natured is an excellent track. The guitarwork is mesmerizing and makes you want to listen to it over and over again. The lyrics are great. The vocals blend with the instruments and creates a great sound for the song. The growls are excellent. The only thing I didn't like about this track was that the backing vocalist voice fit the song more than the leading vocalists,and I think they should switched the two around. The melodie on this song is superb. Overall I give this track a 4.5/5.
The next song is gate of thorns,which in my opinion is better than vivid the blood ill-natured. The guitarwork is not as good as on vivid the blood ill-natured, but the vocals make up for that, In my opinion.The lyrics are great. Once again the vocals blend well with the instruments,even better than on vivid the blood in my opinion. The growls are excellent on this song also,this song has a darker feel to it than vivid the blood ill-natured in my opinion. Overall I give this trck a 5/5,this song is classic because of its great vocals,lyrics,and guitarwork.
This is a suberb album,especially for something their giving away for free,you have no reason not to check out this cd. This album is a good addition to any death metal/black metal fans collection. Overall I give it a 4.5/5.
