Enigmatic is a pioneer symphonic/progressive rock album filled with Slavonic spirit (just listen to the trashy female backing vocals!), diverse both music- and mood-wise, from the gloomy call and response choir/organ duet in the introduction to the monumental 16-minute "Bema pamieci zalobny rapsod", through the sublime main part of the piece with a showcase of Niemen's fantastic vocal talents, up to the jazzy 7-minute jams "Jednego serca" and "Kwiaty ojczyste", and the short but charming rock ballad "Mow do mnie jeszcze".
