The songs are bit more linear than some of the band's other output, but, for a band that has sat comfortably
in the 'outsider,' camp for quite a few years, it's an almost edgy move to transition into slightly more
'traditional,' songwriting. That, of course, is relative to the band, as the LP still retains that amazing outsider
feel to it, with washed-out, narcotic melancholia that is somewhere between a black metal funeral march,
Velvet Cacoon's hazy tomes and an ethereal Current 93. A strong LP from a strong band!
