Coated with an excellent sound production, the Descendere EP is Tetragrammaton's (led by multi-instrumentalist Christian Bale) emphatic take on how ambient and black, doom, and sludge metal should be blended to excellent effect. If I was to describe the music merely by band name dropping I would be sure to mention Bolzer, YOB, Ved Buens Ende, Skaphe, Deathspell Omega, legit ambient/black metal outfits (put your favorite band here) and so on.
