| 3.1 good | Voivod STAFF | September 17th 14 | The blackened funeral doom metal of this German outfit is as close as it can get to the sound of silence. The arrangements are subtle and ritualistic, the pace is really slow (to the point where the utterly minimal rhythm section is barely perceivable), and overall, the band flirts with ambient music as well. It's a good album by all means, but it can work only as a background (and relaxing at certain cases) listen.
