I discovered this band because they were playing with a local band in my area, and I almost saw them live. When I first heard them, it really just sorta blew my mind. They're almost perfect. This album in particular showcases their sound. They have a very dreamy sound similar to bands like My Bloody Valentine, mixed with emotional qualities similar to Hum and Sunny Day Real Estate. Their music is very peaceful to me without being boring. I feel very in touch with the songs on this album. There's just something about the way that they sound that really touches me. It's more than just "90s emo revival" it's something original. Something beautiful. If you like Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, Sunny Day Real Estate, Braid, Failure, Silversun Pickups, Promise Ring or any similar bands and artists, this album is sure to blow you away.
