| 3.0 good | Voivod STAFF | July 25th 14 | On their debut, self-titled album, Yellow Devil Sauce from Athens, Greece have embraced that hard rock/grunge hybrid, introduced by Tool and Alice In Chains in the '90s. That being said, the album has been granted the all too familiar ills of a band treading the first steps of its career. All songs rely heavily on 1-2 riffs and rhythms, at the expense of diversity. As for the vocals, they show some promise, but they are also subject to inconsistency more often than not. Album is handy when in need of cool rock music heard in the background.
