Pergolesi's epitaph, literally written on his deathbed. Not quite a reinvention of the wheel, and some have criticized the work for its overly dramatic flair, but the opening duet is very affecting.

Composed in the final weeks of Pergolesi's short life, Stabat Mater, his most known and celebrated sacred work, has two beautiful and perfectly matched voices and it's definitely one of the best Stabat Mater versions.
Not a masterpiece, but surely wonderful.
