The combination of minimalist and ambient genius Harold Budd and ambient-pioneer Brian Eno resulted in 1980's Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirrors, a worthy successor to Brian Eno's undisputed ambient masterpiece, Ambient 1: Music for Airports. Ambient 2 takes the electronic textures from Ambient 1 and adds Harold Budd's wonderful compositions on the piano. The result is this stunning piece of art that is just as wonderful, if not better than, Eno's Ambient 1. A highly recommended album for anyone interested in ambient music.
