This album blew me away. This is light years better than their first album, which I also thought was good. The ambience and dynamics make the heavy moments heavier in the best possible way but allows the album to groove and breathe and flex. And actually the less screaming actually helps this band a lot, I think.

Very mixed feeling about this album. I really enjoyed this band's debut. This isn't nearly as heavy, and the heavy bits are a let down. I like atmosphere and it works well here at times, but I found a couple tracks downright boring. Clean vocals are very easy on the ears, and thankfully take the spotlight. If the vocalist was still screaming and growling like he did on the debut I would want more, but he sounds like a copy of Mike Hranica here, which is not good at allllllll.

Lots of atmosphere. Band takes a step back from their more post-hardcore/ metalcore tendencies and focuses a lot more on ambience. It works out well. Depraved, Give Light to My Eyes, Fragile Wings, and Scarlet Wool are great tracks.
