The ever increasing diversity of the retro rock genre, the way Swedes are exporting it to the rest of the world, tends to be neglected more often than not. While a fair load of Swedish outfits are downright feedback worshippers, there are power trios such as Stratus that tone down the electric fuzz and concentrate more on the melodic/lyrical aspect of things, with the occasional jazz/prog rock outbursts. As a whole, the album is a relaxing listen, with a handful of adventurous sites calling for the listener's increased attention.
