Release Date: 2006 | Tracklist

Review Summary: An EP that was given to pre-orders at the live shows during the fall before the release of Oh! Gravity.

This was given to all persons who Pre-ordered the Oh! Gravity album at their live shows. I expected these tracks to all be found on Oh! Gravity but was surprised to find that they weren't. Except for the real version of Oh! Gravity of course.

Track 1: The Sound in My Mouth (3:56)

Excellent track. looking back on it now, and after having reviewed and received Oh! Gravity, I wonder why this was not included. It would have been a good replacement for something like Burn out Bright. Anyway, this is a great song that begins with a buzzing guitar and the band bursts into it. The lyrics are awesome and catchy. The song is relatively simple for the verses with just simple effects from all the other members, and a steady drum beat from Chad. It a live song I think they've played for a while, I expected it to be a situation similar to "Politicians". But alas, no. Excellent track, I don't know why it wasn't on the full album

4.5 / 5

Track 2: C'mon, C'mon (2:55)

Love the intro. Its plain and simple. Similar to "The Shadow Proves the Sunshine". The lyrics are moving and enjoyable. The clean guitar backing up Jon's lyrics is simple but fitting. Jon's voice is showed off on this track. His control and range is awesome. There are some background vocals in the second half of the song, Beautiful. again, why this wasn't on the full release is beyond me. would have been better than "4:12" I think.

4 / 5

Track 3: Oh! Gravity (acoustic)

Sure it's just an acoustic version of Oh! Gravity, but its got its own sense of character. I like the cleanness of it. There are no drums, no bass, just a guitar and Jon's voice. In some ways I like this better than the real version. But alas, it just wouldn't fly on a full album.

4 / 5

If your lucky enough to get a copy of this album, don't hesitate. Its worth whatever effort it takes to get a copy of it. I don't understand why the first two tracks were not included on the full release, they could have easily replaced other songs or just have been appended.
