If you listen to only one Hispanic singer-songwriter influenced by the more textural and repetitive elements of ambient electronic music as well as more direct and listenable classic folk music this year, Juana Molina is your woman. She pumps out the music like some sort of Spanish robot that can't control whether it actually sings or just makes guttural noises on different pitches. And to top it all off, Son is much better than I've made it sound in this review. Go get it now.
