Review Summary: With unusual tempo changes, creative catchy and non-repetitive melodies, progressive-structured songs and good performance, this debut album has remarkable music and it is a one man band!

Well, first of all I’m surprised when I read that all music and lyrics are written and performed by himself. It’s good to see such talented musicians around. In this sense, I think we can safely say that this is a pure solo album. One man band!

“Zamandaki Yabanci” starts with clock ticks of “Golgelerin Aydinligi” and right after acoustic guitar arpeggio crossfades to electric guitar. Arpeggios on verses are good and slightly different than that in the intro. Piano and hammond organ fit well to the song. “Aslinda” is like a summary of the sound, since it includes almost every music style that used in the album. It begins with an intro that resembles 70’s progressive rock, which merges with a heavy metal riff and turns into a rock ballad when acoustic guitars enter. Third song is the longest one and simply a melody feast. “Yalnız Ellerim” contains very catchy melodies, might be good to choose as single. “Madalyon”, “Yolcu” and “Kanatlarinin Altinda” are also very good songs with a wide range of use of instruments and somehow unusual song structures. Finally English-language songs start here. Revenge of the Schrodinger’s cat is a great hard rock/heavy metal song with interesting lyrics and authentic music. “May Love Again” is an acoustic-like song with ingenious cello and piano parts, also pay attention to the chorus. Heaviest song of the album “Disaster” begins with a Deep Purple style keyboard solo and ends with a long electric guitar solo. It has also concerned lyrics. Only instrumental song is the “Childhood Dream” which can be considered as a pure prog rock song. Closure of the album couldn’t be better. “Stranger in Time” is an extraordinary song with excellent use of instruments, composition and lyrics. The triumph of the album is ensured by the bands and artists mentioned in the song, although music is not quite resemble them.

On the negative side, there are off-keys in vocals and out of tune bends (even in straight notes) in guitars on few places, but in general it has a quite clean recording. The other thing is the monotony of drums and bass guitars in contrast to the diversity of melodies in some places.

In overall, with unusual tempo changes, creative catchy and non-repetitive melodies, progressive-structured songs and good performance, this debut album has remarkable music, shows a great potential and deserves the 5 star!
