An absolute masterpiece, Faroese death/doom outfit Hamferd's first full-length is a nigh-on
perfect blending of vulnerability and power. Never allowing one song to ape another, we're treated
to beautiful, rich cleans doused in melancholia, growls closer to that heard in Saturnus, and the
chorus-heavy, death-ier 'Sinnisloysi' which is a work of art in itself. Despite being in Faeroese
(which I am most certainly not fluent in) I feel as though I took every line as gothic manuscript,
and found myself tearing up on at least two occasions. They showed tons of promise on Vilst er

awesome vocal styles and solid songwriting.
The Faroese lyrics really adds to the
atmosphere, too.
