Lady with the Red Dress is the best track on here; such a damn jam.

Some pretty catchy stuff, but those qualities barely excuse other parts of this album that bug me... Tracks 1-5 sound far too similar aesthetically (PKmonkey0401) whereby the 6th track is an audible smack to the ears. 7 and 8 are fair enough, but 9 (Uhh in You) is just over-repetitive trash, esp lyrically. Hell, the majority of the album lyrically only scratch the surface of songs usually sang in the genre (Wiki - Reggae is noted for its tradition of social criticism and religion in its lyrics, although many reggae songs discuss lighter, more personal subjects, such as love and socializing). Tracks 6, 7, 9, and 12 serve as the highlights of this album.

I kind of liked Informer. I mean, it's surprisingly catchy, considering that most of the words are garbled beyond comprehension. And you've got to love a white, clean-cut Canadian in glasses rapping about how thug he is in a Jamaican accent that he got without ever necessarily stepping foot in Jamaica. I've shown various people the Informer video, and it's made all the more amusing by the fact that for all that he looks like a spoiled kid from an upper-class neighborhood, Snow's story in Informer - about stabbing someone - is legit. Mo fo stabbed someone. On the other hand, every other freaking song on this album was, in my opinion, complete crap. Seriously, terribly awful. In the end, I can't rate an album with one song that amuses me and 12 that make me want to stuff anything I can find into my ears just to block out the sound any higher than a 2.

Darrin Kenneth O'Brien - otherwise known as Snow - issued his debut full-length album in 1993. Entitled 12 Inches of Snow, the record featured 13 tracks which mostly revolved around the gracious amalgamation of reggae and other styles such as hip hop, jazz, and even pop. While this collection of songs pretty much isn't relevant by today's standards, they're all incredibly enjoyable thanks to the urban feel of the production quality and Snow's ever so precious vocal performance.
