Sure, the record might sound like the four members got together in a room full of instruments, weed, and Pavement records, but the end result is proof enough for me that sometimes that's all you need to make a great record. The whole thing is held together by dissonant, inverted chord stylings in the tradition epitomized by "Spiderland", and by the sheer brilliance of Sadie's lyrics (seriously, read them - there's a damn good reason she teaches poetry to college students). No doubt, I'll be paying quite a bit of attention to this band going forward. Standouts: No Below, Cash Cab, MKVI
