Aubrey Hodges makes a good classic video game soundtrack here, but there are still flaws to it. The positives (good moments) to this album are that there is definitely some scary, but unique dark ambient music that has a lot interesting samples used in it here. Also, the non-ambient stuff like the theme, finale, and menu music were classic to listen to. Where this album was lacking was the sheer length of the soundtrack, particularly in the ambient songs. Because the majority of the ambient songs were so long, they started to lack variation and became repetitious where it was tiring to listen to the whole track, I still did though. Old video games like Doom had long songs or songs that would repeat themselves and that is OK for the game, but listening to the long songs on their own are definitely harder to enjoy. Hodges still made a good effort here that was memorable.
